Professor Zhenan SUN Elected as IAPR Fellow

On December 5th to 8th, 2016, the 23rd International Conference on Pattern Recognition (IAPR) was held in Cancun, Mexico and new list of IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition) fellow award was issued. Professor Zhenan Sun, from Center for Research on Intelligent Perception and Computing (CRIPAC) of Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), has been elected as IAPR Fellow for his contributions in the field of automatic iris recognition and its application.

The International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) is an international authoritative academic organization composing of experts and groups in pattern recognition across the globe. IAPR Fellow is elected every two years. The rate of election is less than 0.25% of the total membership. In 2016, 28 experts are elected as IARP Fellow all over the world.
