The Key Laboratory of Complex Systems and Intelligence Science， which opened up in 1994,  is one of the key laboratories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It participated in the State key Laboratory Assessment in 2003 and 2006. The Laboratory currently has 34 staff, 15 post-doctoral research fellows, 103 PhD research students, 64 MSc, and over 50 visiting research scientists.
